| Business Philosophy www.AlpeGear.com was set up to provide all cyclists great gear at great prices, something we couldn't find when we were getting into the sport. After spending time sourcing top quality products, we devised methods to eliminate all the costs that we could to bring retail prices to a minimum level. We buy in bulk from the manufacturer, we do not have physical stores with costly leases, and we sell our products with low margins in Australia, U.S.A and the United Kingdom to increase turnover and reduce the need for storage costs. We believe our products are very good quality for any athlete and will develop a reputation for quality with all of our customers without the need for expensive advertising budgets and brand promotion, which in turn will allow us to keep prices down. Stephen Guy My name is Steve Guy, I would describe myself as a mid-pack athlete who enjoys the exercise and comradeship of cycling and multi-sport. After starting off with a few Stroke and Stride races I moved on to triathlon and stepped up to completing two Ironman events in under 12 hours, and then onto having a crack at Coast to Coast. Now that family is on the way I am taking a hiatus from competing and look forward assisting others conquer such events. 
Geoff MainAfter playing many team sports over the years, I looked for a new challenge 4 years ago and turned to Adventure Racing and I haven't looked back since. The enjoyment of running through our National Parks can only be matched by the thrill of a downhill ride at speed and certainly beats the 9 to 5 grind. I am now able to combine my passion for cycling and charity work to provide others with the opportunity to find out how far they can really go. 
Kurt OlsenI am a Sport Scientist based in Auckland. I work with people who are involved in sport from the grass roots level all the way up to current world champions. I spend my days helping people train smarter to become better athletes, and perform to their potential. Specificity of training is very important, it makes sense to get the maximum benefit out of the effort you are putting in. Although a cliché, it really is all about training 'Smarter not Harder'.
